DWAN-AM
DWAN (1206 AM) was a radio station owned and operated by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. Its studios were located in the MMDA's Communications and Command Center, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue cor. Orense St., Brgy. Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City; its transmitter was located at Sitio Tapayan, Taytay, Rizal. It operated daily from 4 a.m. to Midnight.

History
The station was launched in 1956 as DZQL. It was formerly owned by ABS-CBN Corporation. In 1957, DZQL changed the frequency to 830 khz while the frequency was given to DZMY. In 1972 after Martial Law was implemented, Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation, a company owned by the late Marcos crony Roberto Benedicto, took over the ownership of the station and changed its callsign to DWWA, and later DWAN. [1]
When BBC was dissolved after the 1986 EDSA Revolution, ownership was transferred to the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation. In 1996, DWAN's operation was turned over to Asia Pacific News and Features (ASPAC News), a company founded and owned by publicist Salvador "Bubby" P. Dacer.[2] It lasted until 2004.
In 2007, MMDA acquired the station and launched Traffic Radio. The station's aim was to provide real-time traffic updates and public service reminders to inform the public, through safety tips, on how to prevent traffic accidents and some programs aired simulcast on MMDA TV. It operated on simulcast at Global Destiny Cable Channel 4.[3][4]
In July 13, 2010, it went off the air after its transmitter was destroyed by Typhoon Basyang.
Both the station and MMDA TeleRadyo permanently ceased operations on August 17, 2010 in order to cut expenses, which were costing the agency at least 1 million pesos every month.[5]
