The municipality covers an area of 9.90 square kilometres (3.82 sq mi), and has a population of 398 (as at 2005).
Dolní Vilémovice lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Třebíč, 39 km (24 mi) south-east of Jihlava, and 153 km (95 mi) south-east of Prague.
The village is famous as the birthplace of Jan Kubiš, a Czechoslovak soldier involved in the assassination of Nazi Reichsprotektor Reinhard Heydrich
