Downtown Inglewood station

Downtown Inglewood is an under-construction at-grade light rail station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station incorporates artwork by the artist Kenturah Davis.[1] The planned Inglewood Transit Connector is expected to terminate nearby.

Location

Location

It is located near the intersection of Florence Ave and La Brea Avenue in Downtown Inglewood. The station will be served by the Crenshaw/LAX Line. It is slated to open in 2021.[2]

People mover

The Inglewood Transit Connector is a 1.6-mile (2.6 km) elevated people mover planned to be built by the City of Inglewood. A new elevated station will be constructed nearby and will act as the northern terminus of the line, which travels to Sofi Stadium before its southern terminus at Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center on S. Prairie Avenue and Century Boulevard.[2][3]

During the 2028 Summer Olympics, the station will provide connections for spectators traveling to and from Olympic venues located in Inglewood.[4]
