Elijah Benton (born September 5, 1996) is an American football safety for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Liberty.

College career
Benton played college football at Liberty University.[1]
Professional career
Benton signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2020.[2] He was waived by the Browns on September 5, 2020, and signed to their practice squad the next day.[3] Benton was elevated to the active roster on October 17 for the team's week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and reverted to the practice squad after the game.[4] He was placed on the practice squad/COVID-19 list by the team on December 22, 2020,[5] and restored to the practice squad on January 6, 2021.[6]
Benton was signed to a reserve/futures contract by the Browns on January 18, 2021.[7]
