The first season features the work of 9-1-1 dispatchers in Austin, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Waukesha, Wisconsin; Wasilla, Alaska; and Ogden, Utah.[1]

The series is unrelated to the 1990s weekly syndicated series of the same name produced by Telco Productions and hosted by Alex Paen, which featured retellings of various emergency situations from across the United States by those involved, along with some dramatic reenactments of the events.
