Germany's Next Topmodel (season 16)
Germany's Next Topmodel (cycle 16) is the sixteenth cycle of Germany's Next Topmodel. It began airing on ProSieben in February 2021. Like all the other seasons, this season does not have a permanent judging panel, but each episode has two or more guest judges.

On each episode, Heidi Klum acts as both host and judge. She invites celebrity photographers, designers and international top models to the show as guests judges. Her first celebrity guest was Manfred Thierry Mugler, who she praised for having incredible talent.[1]
The prizes include a modeling contract worth €140,000 with ONEeins fab Management, a spread and cover in the German Harper's Bazaar, and a €100,000 cash prize.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic in Germany, the season was filmed under strict COVID-19 regulations. As a result, it is the first season to be filmed only in Europe.[2]

Episode 1: Welcome to Germany!

The season began with the 31 finalists of Germany's Next Top Model 2021, arriving in Berlin. There was no casting episode as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The girls were put through the paces with a fashion show wearing Thierry Mugler gowns. After that, the first elimination of the season occurred. 25 girls advanced to the next round and moved into the Modelloft.
