Background

Johor Premium Outlets, or JPO, is a premium outlet centre located in Bandar Indahpura, Kulai, Johor, Malaysia. It is the first-ever premium outlet centre in all of Southeast Asia. The centre is operated by Genting Simon Sdn Bhd and is part of the Genting Simon Group, a joint venture between Genting Plantations Berhad and Simon Property Group. Built on 45 acres of land, the centre's gross built-up is 379,000 sq. ft. It comprises a gross leasable area of 313,000 sq. ft. Phase I of JPO was officially opened on December 11, 2011, with the 50 new stores added during its Phase II expansion on November 15, 2013. The centre added 20 new stores, bringing the total number to 150 following its Phase III expansion on November 15, 2018.

Accessability

JPO is located at the intersection of the North-South Expressway and the Second Link Expressway. The centre is highly accessible to all traffic going to and from Johor and Singapore. It is about an hour’s drive from Singapore, about 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur and only a short distance from Senai International Airport.
