Kamyaran

Kamyaran (Persian: كامياران; Kurdish: کامێران; also Romanized as Kāmyārān)[2] is a city in Kamyaran County, Kurdistan Province, Iran, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2016 census, the city had a population of 57,077 in 16,547 families. The word Kamyaran is derived from the word Kāmyār meaning "prosperous".

Being on the main route from Kermanshah to Sanandaj, Kamyaran went through a rapid development in the latter half of the 20th century and early 21st century. Kamyaran is the most southern city in Kurdistan Province near the Morvarid Fault, and it is surrounded by Mount Shaho and Mount Behistun.

Nearly all residents of Kamyaran are bilingual in Kurdish and Farsi, especially in urban districts.[3]
