Kesab Chandra Gogoi
Kesab Chandra Gogoi was an Indian politician who was the Chief Minister of the state of Assam for two months in 1982.[2] He was member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from Dibrugarh constituency.

Political career
Gogoi was elected to Assam Legislative Assembly in 1978 as a Janata Party candidate. He became a minister in the Golap Borbora cabinet, then went over to Jogendra Nath Hazarika's group and again a cabinet minister during Jogendra Nath Hazarika's chief ministership. He joined Indian National Congress (I) and became Minister of Finance Anwara Taimur cabinet.[3]
He became the Chief Ministers of Assam in January 1982 but his chief ministership lasted for 66 days only.[4] He was also a minister in the Hiteswar Saikia cabinat from 1983 to 1985.[5]
Personal life
He was born in a family of Tai-Ahom. He died on 5 August 1998.[6] His son Justice Ranjan Gogoi was the 46th chief justice of the Supreme Court of India.[7] His eldest son Anjan Kumar Gogoi, went on to become Air Marshal in the Indian Air Force.[8]
