Khomam
Khomam (in Gilaki: Khomam), is a city in the province of Gilan and the center of the city of Khomem.

The city of Khomem is located on the road connecting the two major and tourist cities of Gilan province, namely Rasht and Anzali port [3]. According to the police, Rasht to Khomem has been introduced as the second busiest road in the province in 2015. Khomem city is the center of Khomem city, which was upgraded from a ward to a city and separated from Rasht city on November 4, 2016, according to the decision of the Cabinet. Khomem is the closest city to the center of Gilan province (Rasht), the distance from Khomem to Rasht is 7 km and to Anzali is 15 km. Khomem is connected to the Caspian Sea in the north through the beautiful coast of Jafrud Bala (1.5 km long) and is considered a border town, and in the west it is connected to the east coast of Anzali Wetland through Dehnehsar Shijan village and Jirsarbaqarkhaleh village. 7 villages in the suburbs of Khomem are part of the Anzali Free Zone.
