The pie has won a vast number of awards including best savoury pie in Scotland two years running as well as picking up the best pie in Scottish football.

The pie was created initially for Kilmarnock Football Club and sold at their stadium, Rugby Park. Following a trademark dispute, the Killie pie was renamed the Kilmarnock Pie. It can be found in Brownings shops as well as Aldi, SPAR and selected Scotmid stores in Scotland.

It is somewhat unusual in that it is a steak pie and not a Scotch pie, the type of pie associated with football in Scotland.[1]

History

It won the award for best pie in football two years running[2] and attracted quite a reputation amongst away fans for its quality.[3]

It is made by Brownings The Bakers of Kilmarnock,[4] who currently sponsor Kilmarnock.
