Kintampo North Municipal District

Kintampo North Municipal District is one of the eleven districts in Bono East Region, Ghana.[2][3][4][5] Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1989 when it was known as Kintampo District. Later, part of the district was split off on 12 November 2003 to create Kintampo South District. It was later upgraded to municipal district assembly status in 2007, and has been renamed as Kintampo North Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Bono East Region and has Kintampo as its capital town.
