Kylie Minogue albums discography
Australian singer Kylie Minogue has released fifteen studio albums, thirteen compilation albums, eight live albums, ten extended plays, eleven remix albums and two box sets. Minogue signed a recording contract with Mushroom Records in early 1987, and released her self-titled debut album the following year.[1] Written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, it was distributed in the United Kingdom by Waterman's own label, PWL Records. The album spent six weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, making Minogue the youngest artist to have a number-one album at the time.[upper-alpha 1] It was the fifth highest-selling album of the decade in the United Kingdom, and was certified four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.[4][5]

Her second album, Enjoy Yourself (1989) debuted at number one in the United Kingdom, and became the sixth best-selling album of the year.[6] It was Minogue's first top-ten entry on the Oricon Albums Chart, and was certified gold by Recording Industry Association of Japan, her last certification there.[7] Her last two studio albums under PWL Records, Rhythm of Love (1990) and Let's Get to It (1991), were not as much of a commercial success. They were followed by her first major greatest hits compilation Greatest Hits (1992), her third number-one album in the United Kingdom. She released Kylie Minogue (1994) and Impossible Princess (1997) under Deconstruction Records, a British dance label that she signed to in 1993. Both albums made minor impact on the record charts, despite peaking inside the top ten in the United Kingdom and Australia.
After disappointing sales, Minogue moved to Parlophone. In 2000, she released Light Years, it marked a return to her dance-pop roots, and revitalized her career. However, it was the 2001 album Fever, that gave her widespread international recognition. The album became the highest seller of her career. Body Language followed in 2003, and her second major greatest hits album Ultimate Kylie was released in 2004. In 2005, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing her to postpone all recording commitments. In 2007, she resumed her career with the release of her tenth album X. In 2010, she released her eleventh studio album, Aphrodite. In 2012, to celebrate her twenty-fifth year in the music industry, she released her third major greatest hits album The Best of Kylie Minogue and the orchestral album The Abbey Road Sessions. In 2014, she released her twelfth studio album, Kiss Me Once. In 2015, she released her first Christmas album and final album with Parlophone; Kylie Christmas, and a reissue Kylie Christmas: Snow Queen Edition was released in 2016.[8][9]
In February 2017, Minogue signed a global recording contract with BMG Rights Management. Golden, Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection and Disco were released in 2018 to 2020, and debuted at number-one in Australia and the United Kingdom.[10][11]
Minogue has won a Grammy Award and placed thirteen consecutive albums in the top twenty of the UK Albums Chart.[12] She has achieved worldwide record sales of more than 70 million.[13][14]

Notes
- Minogue became the youngest artist to have a number-one album at the age of 20—she held that record until Canadian recording artist Avril Lavigne's Let Go reached the top of the chart in 2002, when she was 18.[2][3]
- Japan combined sales figure for both the Special (93,340) and Hyper (13,300) edition of Fever as of 2006.[27]
- Kylie Christmas: Snow Queen Edition did not enter the NZ Top 40 Albums Chart, but peaked at number eight on the NZ Heatseekers Albums Chart.[54]
- Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection did not enter the US Billboard 200 but did peak at number 32 on the Top Album Sales chart.[57]
