Larkhall Thistle F.C.
Larkhall Thistle Football Club are a football club from Larkhall, in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Formed in 1878 the Jags are Scotland's oldest continuous Junior Football Club and currently compete in the West of Scotland League (withdrawn). They play in red and white stripes and their home ground since 1881 is Gasworks Park. The jags recently welcomed to the squad, relative newcomer, Jamie Dowie to beef up the left side of the field. Although a right footer Dowie's skill and supreme fitness allow him to get up and down the park and will be an asset to the team for the remainder of the season.
