List of Philippine Senate committees

This is a list of Philippine congressional committees (standing committees and special committees) that are currently operating in the Senate of the Philippines, the upper house of the Philippine Congress.

The composition of Senate committees is outlined in Rule X of the Rules of the Senate.[1]

Standing committees

There are 39 standing committees in the Philippine Senate for the 18th Congress as of September 24, 2020:[2][3][4][5]

According to the Rules of the Senate, the President Pro Tempore, the Majority Floor Leader, and the Minority Floor Leader are ex officio members of all standing committees.

1 Created after the Committee on Agriculture and Food was merged with the Committee on Agrarian Reform through Resolution No. 9[6] adopted on September 3, 2019.

2 Created after the Committee on Education, Arts and Culture was split into two through Resolution No. 6[7] adopted on July 31, 2019.

3 Renamed after the jurisdiction of the Committee on Civil Service and Government Reorganization was expanded to include all matters relating to professional regulation, through Resolution No. 92[8] adopted on August 3, 2015.

4 Renamed through Resolution No. 6[9] adopted on September 2, 2013.

5 Created after the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources was merged with the Committee on Climate Change through Resolution No. 9[6] adopted on September 3, 2019.

6 Created after the Committee on Games, Amusement and Sports was split into two through Resolution No. 3[10] adopted on August 1, 2016.

7 Created through Resolution No. 9[6] adopted on September 3, 2019.

8 Renamed after the jurisdiction of the Committee on Women, Family Relations and Gender Equality was expanded to include all matters relating to the welfare and protection of children, through Resolution No. 93[11] adopted on August 3, 2015.
