List of tallest buildings in India

This article list ranks the tallest buildings in India that stand at least 190 metres (623 ft) tall, based on standard height measurement. This means that spires and other architectural details are included in the official height, but not antenna masts, as it is defined by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Only habitable buildings are ranked, which excludes radio masts and towers, observation towers, temples, chimneys and other tall architectural structures.[1]

Under-construction buildings in Mumbai

The era of skyscrapers in India began with the completion of the LIC Building in Chennai in 1959. With 15 floors, it was the first skyscraper in the country and remained the tallest building in the country until 1961 when it was surpassed by the 25-storied Usha Kiran Building in Mumbai.[2] Many tall buildings appeared in various cities in the country ever since. Since 2020, the tallest building are World One and World View in Mumbai at 285 metres (935 feet).[3][4] Multiple taller buildings are under construction[5] as well as multiple taller buildings are on-hold.[6] Mumbai has the highest concentration of high-rise buildings in India followed by Noida, since land in the city is limited and expensive.

Tallest buildings

This list includes buildings under construction that have already been architecturally topped out. Architectural height is considered, so masts and other elements added after completion of building are not considered.
