Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly who served in the 36th parliament held their seats from 1950 to 1953. They were elected at the 1950 state election,[1] and at by-elections.[2][3][4] The Speaker was Bill Lamb.[5]</ref>

The changes to the composition of the house, in chronological order, were: Seiffert rejoined Labor, Jackett died, Black resigned, McGirr resigned, Richardson resigned, Chalmers sat as an independent,<ref name=':6' group='lower-alpha'>Hartley MLA Jim Chalmers resigned from the Labor Party in 1952 after a dispute with the party's state executive. He served out his term as an independent.
