Nkoranza South Municipal District
Nkoranza South Municipal District[1][2] is one of the eleven districts in Bono East Region, Ghana.[3][4] Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1989 when it was known as Nkoranza District. Later, part of the district was split off on 28 February 2008 to become Nkoranza North District. It was later upgraded to municipal district assembly status in 2012, and renamed as Nkoranza South Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southern part of Bono East Region and has Nkoranza as its capital town.
