The song was performed twenty-third during the competition (following Malta's Mike Spiteri with "Keep Me In Mind"). At the close of voting, it had received 68 points, finishing 12th in a field of 23.

The song is a dramatic ballad, with Konstantopoulou asking how she should pray for the forgiveness of those who have persecuted her and her country. The introduction lyrics are actually in Ancient Greek, while the rest of the lyrics are in standard Modern Greek.

It was succeeded as Greek representative at the 1996 Contest by Mariana Efstratiou with "Emis Forame To Himona Anixiatika".

This song was covered by Serbian singer of Bosnian origin Lepa Brena with the title "Ti Si Moj Greh".
