As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 199 people, 84 households, and 58 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,346.8 people per square mile (512.2/km2). There were 94 housing units at an average density of 636.2 per square mile (242.0/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 99.50% White, and 0.50% from two or more races.

There were 84 households, out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% were married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.83.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 105.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $29,375, and the median income for a family was $45,500. Males had a median income of $30,625 versus $30,625 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,020. About 13.5% of families and 19.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 46.7% of those under the age of eighteen and 14.8% of those 65 or over.
