Reception

Michael Wolf reviewed the Nintendo 64 version of the game for Next Generation, rating it four stars out of five, and stated that "While Ridge Racer 64 will feel very familiar to Ridge Racer fans, it offers enough features and bonuses to make it a must-own for any N64 racing gamer."[20]

The N64 version received "favorable" reviews, while the DS remake received "mixed" reviews, according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.[1][2]
