Seberang Jaya (state constituency)

Seberang Jaya is a state constituency in Penang, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Penang State Legislative Assembly.[3]

The state constituency was first contested in 1986 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to the Penang State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system. Since 2013, the State Assemblyman for Seberang Jaya is Afif Bahardin from PPBM, formerly Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).[4][5][6]

Definition

The Seberang Jaya constituency contains the polling districts of Jalan Sembilang, Seberang Jaya II, Kampong Pertama, Kampong Belah Dua, Seberang Jaya I, Jalan Bahru, Simpang Ampat, Jalan Tuna and Taman Tun Hussien Onn.[7]
