History
The foundation stone of college was laid by Zakir Hussain, the then the Vice President of India and Chancellor of the University of Delhi, on 24 May 1964. The evening College began operating on 8 September 1969. The college is one of full-fledged constituent colleges of University of Delhi, offering courses in science, commerce and humanities to more than 1800 students.
The college is housed in its own building at G.T. Road, Shahadra, near Welcome metro station.
