Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng

Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng (傅云生; born 15 April 1963) is the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kuching in Malaysia.[1] Prior to being appointed, he had been serving as an auxiliary bishop in the same diocese.

Biography

Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng was ordained a priest on 31 July 1988.[2]

On 9 July 2015, Pope Francis appointed Poh Auxiliary Bishop of Kuching and Titular Bishop of Sfasferia. He was consecrated bishop on 24 September 2015 by John Ha Tiong Hock, Archbishop of Kuching. Co-consecrators were Peter Chung Hoan Ting, Archbishop Emeritus of Kuching; and Julius Dusin Gitom, Bishop of Sandakan.[1]

On 4 March 2017, Pope Francis appointed Poh to succeed Archbishop Ha as the Archbishop of Kuching.[3]
