Strophurus elderi

Strophurus elderi, also known as the jewelled gecko, is a species of gecko, a lizard in the family Diplodactylidae. The species is endemic to Australia.[2]

Etymology

The specific name, elderi, is in honor of Scottish-Australian philanthropist Thomas Elder.[3]

Geographic range

S. elderi is found in the Australian states and territories of New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.[2]

Habitat

The preferred habitats of S. elderi are desert, grassland, and shrubland.[1]

Reproduction

S. elderi is oviparous.[2]
