Tambaram–Nagercoil Antyodaya Express

The 16191 / 16192 Tambaram - Nagercoil Antyodaya Express (Via Kumbakonam, Trichy, Madurai) is an express train of the Indian Railways connecting Tambaram and Nagercoil Junction in Tamil Nadu. It is operated daily from Tambaram to Nagercoil Junction as train number 16191, and from Nagercoil Junction to Tambaram as train number 16192.[1][2][3][4]

Announced in 2017, the train started its operations on 9 June 2018 from Tirunelveli Junction and on 10 June 2018 from Tambaram.[5]

This train was previously running only up to Tirunelveli Junction but recently this train has been extended up to Nagercoil Junction by Indian Railways.

Coach composition

The train has 18 coaches. It comprises 2 Luggage cum Generator Car and 16 General Second Class coaches.[4] These coaches feature a LED screen display to show information about stations, train speed etc. Vending machines for tea, coffee and milk, Bio toilets in compartments as well as CCTV cameras as well as facility for potable drinking water and mobile charging points and toilet occupancy indicators.
