Vaishnavi (Matrika goddess)
Vaishnavi (Sanskrit: वैष्णवी, IAST: Vaishṇavī) is a Hindu goddess and is also a Matrika goddess.[1]

She is the ferocious form of Lakshmi and is considered as the Shakti of Vishnu. According to the "Durgāpūjā", "Navaratri" , "Diwali" etc., (a Sanskrit ritual manual), she is one of the 64 goddesses to be worshipped during the Āvaraṇapūjā (“Worship of the Circuit of Goddesses”).[2]
Iconography
Vaishnavi, is depicted as dark-complexioned, & wears the Kirita Mukuta (cylindrical crown). She is clothed with Peethambara (yellow clothing), much like Vishnu. She has Garuda as her Vahana, & has 4 hands, sporting conch, discus, mace & lotus. In her 6-hand depiction, sword & bow are also included.
