Wade ministry
The Wade ministry was the 33rd ministry of the New South Wales Government, and was led by the 17th Premier, the Honourable Charles Wade, KC, MLA.
Wade was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1903, serving until 1917. He was a senior minister in the Carruthers ministry, but when Carruthers became the subject of disquiet due to allegations raised in an earlier Royal Commission, Carruthers stood down during the election period. Wade led an alliance of the Liberal and Reform Association and the Progressive Party to government at the 1907 state election.
The ministry covers the period from 2 October 1907 until 20 October 1910[1][2] when Wade was defeated by the McGowen – led Labor Party.
