Wan Ahmad Fayhsal
Senator Wan Ahmad Fayhsal bin Wan Ahmad Kamal (born 8 May 1987) is a Malaysian politician. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and its 2nd Youth Chief since August 2020, he has also served as the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports in the PN administration under Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Minister Reezal Merican Naina Merican as well as Senator since March 2020.

Education and early career
After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas,[1] he worked at Malaysia's leading oil exploration company, PETRONAS as a Business and Strategic Planning Executive in the Technology & Engineering Division.
On 1 April 2010, he has been appointed as the Senior Executive of the Leading Unit and is one of the individuals responsible for establishing the Bumiputera Education Leading Foundation under the management of the Prime Minister Office of Malaysia.
He obtained a Master of Arts in Geopolitics, Territory and Security from King's College London.[2] He was also an assistant lecturer at the Selangor International Islamic University College before becoming a Research Fellow at Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Politics
He was a special officer to the former Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq, from 2018 to 2020.[3]
On 10 March 2020, he was appointed the new Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports under the new Cabinet of Muhyiddin Yassin.[4] The same day, he was also appointed a Senator of the Dewan Negara in order to give him a way to hold his deputy ministership.[5]
On 16 August 2020, he was selected the new Youth's Chief of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (PPBM), replacing Syed Saddiq whom he used to help but was sacked from the party amid political crisis.[6]
On 18 November 2020, he stupidly suggested that the central bank printed out more cash to be distributed to the citizens as an innovative approach to stimulate the economy. Former CEO of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Jalil Rasheed rebuke this statement citing that it will only weaken the currency of Malaysia Ringgit.[7]
