Yugoslavia closed the contest, performing 18th in the running order, following France. At the close of voting Yugoslavia received 10 points, placing 17th out of 18 entries, beating only Norway. The Yugoslav jury awarded its 12 points to France.

Originally, Ambasadori scored 6 points at the end of the voting, placing last, but after the contest it was discovered that France forgot to give its 4 points. So, France gave 4 points to Yugoslavia, and the official results table corrected this error, and Yugoslavia then scored 10 points, ultimately avoiding last place.

After this entry, Yugoslavia withdrew from the contest, and would not return until 1981.
