Zhang Zhehan

Zhang Zhehan (Chinese: 张哲瀚; born 11 May 1991) is a Chinese actor. He is best known for his roles in Legend of Ban Shu (2015), Demon Girl (2016) and Legend of Yunxi (2018).

Career

In 2010, Zhang made his acting debut in the romance drama Why Love You.[2] Thereafter, he signed a contract with Yu Zheng's studio, and played the leading role in the comedy web series Crazy for Palace (2013) and its sequel.[3][4] The series gained a small following online.[5]

Zhang then went on to act in various supporting roles in dramas produced by Yu Zheng; such as Palace 3: The Lost Daughter (2014), The Romance of the Condor Heroes (2015) and Love Yunge from the Desert (2015).[6][7][8] He first gained recognition playing the role of the antagonist in the mystery costume drama Cosmetology High (2014),[9] and went on to portray young Mei Changsu in the acclaimed historical drama Nirvana in Fire (2015).[10]

In 2015, Zhang played the male lead in historical drama Legend of Ban Shu co-starring Jing Tian.[11] He went on to play lead roles in the spy drama Decoded,[12] and headlined both seasons of the fantasy web series Demon Girl in 2016.[13][14]

In 2017, Zhang was cast in the shemo historical drama Zhaoge playing the role of King Wu of Zhou.[15]

In 2018, Zhang starred in the historical romance drama Legend of Yunxi alongside Ju Jingyi.[16] The series received much popularity among the audience for its light-hearted and sweet storyline.[17] Zhang gained increased popularity and recognition for his performance as the cold and aloof male lead.[18]

In 2019, Zhang starred in the disaster film The Bravest as a firefighter.[19]

In 2020, Zhang starred in the romance drama Everyone Wants to Meet You produced by Zhao Wei.[20] Zhang also starred in the historical romance drama 'The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion' alongside former castmate Ju Jingyi.
