1960 International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties

In 1960 an International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties was held in Moscow. It was preceded by a conference of 12 Communist and Workers Parties of Socialist countries held in Moscow November 1957[1] and the Bucharest Conference of Representatives of Communist and Workers Parties in June 1960.[2] Issues discussed at these meetings are associated with the Sino-Soviet split.

The experience and results of the meetings of representatives of the Communist Parties held in recent years, particularly the results of the two major meetings—that of November, 1957 and this Meeting—show that in present-day conditions such meetings are an effective form of exchanging views and experience, enriching Marxist-Leninist theory by collective effort and elaborating a common attitude in the struggle for common objectives.
