2020–21 in Slovak football

The 2020–21 season is the 26th season of competitive association football in Slovakia after Czechoslovakia was divided into two new states.[1]

The 2019–20 Slovak U19 League was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia.[17] The top team of the league at the time of the abandonment, Žilina, were selected to play in the 2020–21 UEFA Youth League by the Slovak Football Association in the Domestic Champions Path.

The first qualifying round match between KÍ and Slovan Bratislava, originally scheduled to be played on 19 August 2020, was postponed to 21 August 2020 due to one staff member from Slovan Bratislava testing positive for SARS-2 coronavirus and the whole team being put into quarantine by the Faroese authorities.[12] On 21 August, the match could not be played due to one player from Slovan Bratislava testing positive for SARS-2 coronavirus and the whole second team being put into quarantine by the Faroese authorities.[13][14] KÍ were subsequently awarded a technical 3–0 victory by UEFA according to the regulations related to COVID-19.[15][16]
