- The second qualifying round match between Riga and Tre Fiori, which kicked off on 17 September 2020, 19:00 CEST (20:00 EEST), was suspended after 23 minutes due to strong winds and broken floodlights. The match resumed on 18 September 2020, 09:00 CEST (10:00 EEST).[2]
- Sileks played their home match against Drita at Toše Proeski Arena, Skopje, instead of their regular stadium Gradski stadion Kratovo, Kratovo.
- Astana played their home match against Budućnost Podgorica at Almaty Central Stadium, Almaty, instead of their regular stadium Astana Arena, Nur-Sultan.
- Ararat-Armenia played their home matches at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, Yerevan, instead of their regular stadium Yerevan Football Academy Stadium, Yerevan.
- Sarajevo played their home match against Budućnost Podgorica at Bilino Polje Stadium, Zenica, instead of their regular stadium Koševo City Stadium, Sarajevo.
- KÍ played their home match against Dinamo Tbilisi at Tórsvøllur, Tórshavn, instead of their regular stadium Við Djúpumýrar, Klaksvík which did not meet UEFA requirements.
- The play-off round match between Ararat-Armenia and Red Star Belgrade, originally to be played at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, Yerevan, was moved to GSP Stadium, Nicosia (Cyprus), due to the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.[3]
- Dundalk played their home match against KÍ at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, instead of their regular stadium Oriel Park, Dundalk.
