2021 Venezuelan Primera División season
The 2021 Primera División season, officially Liga de Fútbol Profesional Venezolano or Liga FUTVE, will be the 65th season of the Venezuelan Primera División, the top-flight football league in Venezuela, and the 40th season since the start of the professional era. Deportivo La Guaira will be the defending champions.

Format changes
A proposal was discussed on 18 December 2020, in which the teams would be divided in two zones according to geographic location.[1] The league will be expanded to 21 teams as relegation was suspended for the previous season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
