Aligarh Airport

Aligarh Airport is an upcoming airport, situated at Aligarh - Sikandra rao Road in outskirts of Aligarh city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.[1] It is developing by upgrading the existing government airstrip.[2][3]

The Airport will cost about 4 crore rupees which was approved by the district administration just after Diwali this year. It may be called as Dhanipur Mini Airport.

Flight has been proposed from Dhanipur Mini Airport of Aligarh to Moradabad, Lucknow and Kanpur. Approval has been given for the journey to Lucknow in the first phase. A 20-seat aircraft will fly every day from the airport. It is being told that the fare up to Lucknow will be around 2500 rupees. Also, the distance of six hours will be completed in just 60 minutes. After Lucknow, an air travel facility will be started from Aligarh to some other cities of the state.
