Bistra voda

"Bistra voda" (Clear water) was the Bosnian and Herzegovinian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, held in Moscow, Russia.[2][3][4] The song was composed by Aleksandar Čović, and was performed by the Bosnian rock band Regina lead by Davor Ebner.

At the Eurovision Song Contest, the song competed in the first semi-final at 12 May and it qualified for the final round, where it finished 9th with 106 points. It later on won the Marcel Bezençon award for best composition.[5]

Composition

The song itself has three strophes and a powerful chorus, with some kind of orchestral background on which guitar, bass and floor tom are giving the rhythm to the song. The song begins with staccato piano part with strings begin in approximately 0:08, and first strophe in 0:12 together with crescendo floor tom. After first chorus, bass and main guitar comes in. The song's duration is 3:00.

There is also an English and Russian version of the song, which is not however a translation of the Bosnian lyrics, and which does not include the repeated line "Bathe me in clear water."
