Brickworks, Singapore

Brickworks (also known as Bukit Batok West Extension) is a subzone of Bukit Batok, Singapore.[2] It is bounded by Bukit Batok West Avenue 3/2/5 and Bukit Batok Road and is beside the upcoming New Town, Tengah. It is the newest development area in Bukit Batok as there are new HDB being launched over the last few years.

New Housing Developments

In recent years, several new HDB developments have been launched in the area.

  • West Terra@Bukit Batok (launched September 2014),[3]
  • West Valley@Bukit Batok (launched May 2014),

  • West Ridges@Bukit Batok (launched November 2013),[5]

Upcoming Developments

A new commercial and residential development known as Le Quest will be opening soon.

A pilot assisted living project for elderly will also be launched here including a hawker centre.

Public Transport

There are few bus services passing through Bukit Batok West Extension such as 991, 941 and 944. 160M will also be launched in July 2020.[9]

A new upcoming Jurong Region Line will also served the residents here.

Education

Politics

It is part of Hong Kah North Single Member Constituency,[10][11] itself a division of the former Hong Kah Group Representation Constituency.
