Carbonate, Lombardy

Carbonate (Comasco: Carbunaa [karbuˈnɑː]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,757 and an area of 5.2 square kilometres (2.0 sq mi).[3]
