In the 2016 Census, Division 16 had a population of 37,999 living in 14,663 of its 18,762 total dwellings, a 0.4% increase from its 2011 population of 37,845. With a land area of 21,828.49 km2 it had a population density of 1.7 people per square kilometre in 2016.[1]
