JIS College of Engineering

JIS College of Engineering is an engineering college located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India. The college was established in 2000.The Institution is declared Autonomous by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2011.[1][2] In 2015, the college was accredited by NAAC with Grade-A. It is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT,WB).[3] The institute is ranked by NIRF in the range of 251–300 in 2020.[4] In Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020, the institute has secured a place in Band B (Rank Between 26 th – 50 th )[5] among Private or Self-Financed College/Institutes in India. On 1 September 2020, the institute celebrated its 20th Birthday.

College fests

JIS College of Engineering hosts JISTech, a technological and design fest since 2015. Last Edition was hosted in 2019 as 2020 edition had to be called off due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Location

Located in its 17.5 acres 'Green Campus' at Satellite Township of Kalyani, West Bengal, 55 km north of Kolkata. Kalyani Expressway passed beside the college campus.
