Jurong Pier MRT station is a proposed Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region Line, located on the boundary of Boon Lay and Jurong East planning areas in Singapore.[1][2][3]

Jurong Pier station in Singapore

It will be the southern terminus of the Main Branch of the Jurong Region Line. Trains entering service at this station will terminate at Peng Kang Hill via Bahar Junction.

History

On 9 May 2018, LTA announced that Jurong Pier station would be part of the proposed Jurong Region line (JRL). The station will be constructed as part of Phase 3, consisting of a total of 7 stations. A 4 station extension to Jurong Pier at Boon Lay and a 3 station extension to Peng Kang Hill from Tawas. It is expected to be completed in 2028.[4]


Location

The station complex will be situated along Jurong Pier Road, next to the Jurong Pier Circus and Jurong Pier Flyover. It is located in the Jurong East planning area in the Jurong Port Subzone,[5] serving the industrial area nearby and Jurong Island Checkpoint.

Access to the station will be via 3 exits on each side of Jurong Pier Road.[6]
