List of UEFA European Championship winning managers

The UEFA European Championship is considered the most prestigious association football tournament in the Europa. The 15 UEFA European Championship tournaments have been won by ten national teams. Germany and Spain have won three times, followed by France with two titles each; Soviet Union, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, and Greece with one titles each.

Gavriil Kachalin was the first UEFA European Championship winning manager.

Gavriil Kachalin led the Soviet Union national team to victory in the inaugural tournament in 1960.[1] Fourteen different managers have won the UEFA European Championship and all winning managers led their own country's national team. Only one foreign coach has brought the Euro champion namely national trainer Germany, Otto Rehhagel Bring Greece at the event 2004. Two other managers finished as winners once and runners-up once; both Helmut Schön (winner in 1972, runners-up in 1976) for West Germany and Berti Vogts (winner in 1996, runner-up in 1992) for Germany.

José Villalonga Llorente was the first manager to manage a national team to UEFA European Championship victory without having had a prior professional football career. He managed the Spain national team in the 1964 to victory; Václav Ježek, which also runs Czechoslovakia also accomplished this feat. Lars Lagerbäck also holds the record for attending the most UEFA European Championship final tournaments as manager with four appearances while managing two different national teams. Joachim Löw holds the records for both most matches managed (17) and most matches won (11), all with Germany between runner-up in 2008 and 2012 and 2016. Villalonga is the youngest manager to win the Euro, being 44 in 1964.

One men have won the tournament both as a player and as a manager, namely Berti Vogts (as a player in 1972 and 1996).
