Fortune 500 companies based in and around Houston

There are 21 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Houston according to the 2020 list.[1] In addition, the Fortune 500 company Huntsman Corporation is headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, a suburb just north of Houston, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be relocating from San Jose, Ca to Spring, Tx in 2021.

Companies with a large presence in Houston

Although Exxon Mobil has its corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas, most of its employees are in Houston.[2] HP Inc. has a large campus in Springwoods Village in Spring, Tx. Chevron also operates from office towers in Downtown Houston, where it purchased 1500 Louisiana Street and 1400 Smith Street from former Texas energy giant Enron. The corporate offices of Imperial Sugar and Minute Maid, a regional headquarters for Unocal 76, and an office of Schlumberger, are based in nearby Sugar Land, Texas. CB&I and US Oncology are based in The Woodlands.
