New Zealand Independent School Jakarta

The New Zealand School Jakarta (Formerly New Zealand Independent School) is an international school located in the heart of Kemang, South Jakarta (Jakarta Selatan), Jakarta, Indonesia.[1] It was established in 2002. We employ the New Zealand Curriculum supplemented with other academic programmes to serve the educational needs of children aged between 18 months (Pre-School) to 14 years old (Grade 8). We are also now welcoming ‘pioneers’ into our soon-to-be-opened Grade 9 class in the 2020/2021 academic year, which will grow into high school through to Grade 12 in the following academic years.

The school changed its name from New Zealand International School following the ruling by the Government of Indonesia in 2014 that all schools had to remove the word international from their name.[2]
