Sealdah–Silchar Kanchenjunga Express

It is named after the Kanchanjunga peak of the Himalayan Mountains seen from New Jalpaiguri as previously when this train was introduced in the 1960s it was between Sealdah and New Jalpaiguri

From Guwahati train is hauled by a twin New Guwahati Loco Shed based WDG 3A diesel locomotive uptil Silchar and vice versa. A banker is usually attached between Lumding Jn. and Badarpur Jn.
