Temi Ejoor was born in Ughelli in Delta State.[2] He is an alumnus of Hussey College Warri.[3]
As Abia State governor he earned the nickname "Wey my own?" among the locals because he reportedly asked this question about any government project, asking how big his cut would be.[4] He dismissed about three thousand staff of Nsukka origin who had been appointed during the Nwodo administration.[5] The concept of Obuaku City was conceived during his rule, as a new city to provide homes for people working in the nearby big cities of Aba and Port Harcourt, but little progress was made.[6]
