Van Syckel, New Jersey

Van Syckel (also spelled Van Syckle) is an unincorporated community located within Union Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.[1][2] The Van Syckel Corner District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Van Syckel Corner District is a historic district encompassing the village. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 8, 1979 for its significance in agriculture, architecture, and commerce. The Van Syckel Tavern was built in 1763 by David Reynolds at the intersection of Van Syckels Corner and Norton Roads.[5]
