Vanessa Atterbeary
Vanessa Atterbeary is an American attorney and politician who represents District 13 in the Maryland House of Delegates.

Early life and education
Atterbeary was born on June 24, 1975, in Columbia, Maryland.[1] She graduated from Atholton High School.[2] Atterbeary completed a bachelor's degree in government at College of William and Mary in 1997. That same year, she went on to the Villanova University School of Law, and earned her juris doctorate three years later. After law school, Atterbeary clerked for Judge David W. Young of the Baltimore City Circuit Court. Atterbeary was admitted to Maryland State Bar Association in 2001 and the District of Columbia Bar in 2002.[1]
Career
In 2002, Atterbeary joined the law firm, Bulman, Dunie, Burke & Feld, as an attorney where she worked as general counsel for 5 years.[1]
Atterbeary is a Maryland Delegate representing District 13. She serves on the House Judiciary committee. In May 2016, Atterbeary was appointed to the Public Safety and Policing Work Group by the Speaker of the Maryland House. She also serves on the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and the Women's Caucus of Maryland.[1]
