ViVi (singer)

Wong Ga-Hei, professionally known as ViVi (Korean: 비비; born December 9, 1996), is a Hong Kong singer currently based in South Korea. She is a member of South Korean girl group Loona and its sub-unit, Loona 1/3.

Early life

ViVi was born on December 9, 1996, in Hong Kong.[1] Prior to debut, she was a model for several years under the name Viian Wong.

Career

2017–present: Debut with Loona

On February 13, 2017, ViVi was introduced as part of Loona's first sub-unit, Loona 1/3.[2] The sub-unit consists of previously revealed members HeeJin, HyunJin and HaSeul.[3] The sub-unit released the extended play Love & Live and the single of the same name on March 13.[4] On April 5, she was officially introduced as the fifth member of Loona.[5] ViVi released her first single album ViVi on April 17.[6] The album contains two tracks, "Everyday I Love You", featuring HaSeul, and "Everyday I Need You", featuring JinSoul.[7]

On December 13, alongside Choerry and Yves, she released "The Carol 2.0", the re-recorded version of "The Carol" from HaSeul which was sung by HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul, as a digital single.[8]

On August 7, 2018, she officially debuted as Loona with the pre-release digital single, "Favorite".[9] On August 20, the group released + + as their debut mini album, along with "Hi High" as its lead single.[10]
